Our customers regularly ask whether they should be renting an Autosleepers campervan in winter. Many of our motorhomes are equipped with air conditioning and heating so regardless of the season they will definitely keep you warm (or cool).

There can be a number of benefits of renting during the colder months. Here are a few:

More space in camping grounds

This can equate to better deals on camping grounds, better positions in the grounds themselves and less competition for powered sites.

Better traffic

During the colder months it can be easier to get around. The roads are often less crowded and travel times can be much better. You could actually plan to see more.

It can be cosier

You can build a camp fire (you may not be able to do this in summer) and toast marshmallows.

Less tourists about

This could mean better deals on tourist attractions or meals plus easier access to the attractions.

Better climate for touring

Depending on where you are going the cooler months can be better for getting around. If you are heading to North Queensland then the middle of summer can be really quite hot while the middle of winter can be a pleasant 25 degrees Celsius.
