CAMPING TIPS
Camping Tips
book Early
Vacancies fill quickly, so to avoid disappointment book early. This is particularly true for Summer and school holidays.
Consider weather conditions
Consider the weather patterns for where and when you are planning to travel.
Make a list
If you're unsure of what to bring, check out our comprehensive list of 'things to take'.
Start with the camping essentials(shelter, bedding, cooking supplies, first aid) and work your way down to other things to make a memorable holiday (camera, entertainment, personal items, camp chairs). It can help to lay out your items before packing them away, as you're able to visualise if you're leaving anything behind. Luckily, if you have forgotten anything, a campervan allows you to make a quick pit stop at the shops.
Know where you're staying
This one goes along with the notion of 'pre-booking' to avoid disappointment. Thankfully, all our vans come equipped with maps and tourist information, and caravan park discounts. If you know where you'll be camping, and plot it out beforehand, you'll also more likely be able to judge weather conditions ahead of time.
Plan plan plan
PLAN petrol stops, grocery trips and anything else of necessity. This is especially important if you're planning to travel off the beaten track. Ensure you have sufficient access to petrol, food and water between stops, or in emergency situations.
